1. Who can join the TAP (Travelog Affiliate Program)?
We welcome anyone who is interested in offering their visitors the best options for travel activities – especially if you are a lifestyle and travel site, travel blogger, travel app developer or Influencer.
2. How do I make money with the TAP (Travelog Affiliate Program)?
As a TAP Partner, we will pay you commission on travel activities that have been booked and completed through the traffic directed from your affiliate link. Commission will be generated from any bookings made within 30 days once a customer visits Travelog.com through your link.
3. How do I sign up? Does it cost anything to join the TAP (Travelog Affiliate Program)?
You can simply sign up in 3 easy steps: click the Become an Affiliate button, fill out the application form, and submit! Our Account Manager will review your application and contact you within 72 hours.
Signing up to become a TAP Partner is completely FREE! All you need to do is to direct your traffic to Travelog and we will take care of the rest of the fulfillment process.
4. Can I link to any page on http://www.travelog.com? What works the best?
Yes, you will be able to link to any page hosted on http://www.travelog.com, including the website homepage, as well as any specific city and/or activity webpages. Typically, activity-specific content that links to a specific Travelog activity yields higher conversion results.
5. Can I use Travelog’s content to my website?
You are allowed to use any content generated using our promotional article at TAP. However, you are not allowed to use any other content on Travelog’s website (including but not limited to activity images and text copies). For content usage and sharing request, please contact your Affiliate Manager.
6. What is an Affiliate ID?
An Affiliate ID (or AID) is a unique id that identifies your links in our system. We use it to track bookings made through your affiliate products, which are tagged with your AID, and determine your commission payout.
7. How does the tracking system work?
You will be provided with an affiliate link with a unique AID which allows us to track bookings. All bookings with the same AID will be linked to the same Affiliate Partner. The AID utilizes cookies to track visitors directed to Travelog for up to 7 days. If such visitors make a booking within 7 days, the AID will be registered and the Affiliate Partner will able to enjoy the affiliate revenue share.
8. Will mobile app purchase be tracked?
With the use of deep links embedded in URLs, when a user clicks on an affiliate link through mobile browser, they will be directed to Travelog’s website to continue their purchasing journey. Conversion is tracked when user then makes a purchase through app.
9. What is the Category & Page portion in My Ads?
Category & Page are custom dimensions for you to better categorize your ads. You may customize your website based on different categories and pages to make it easier and more efficient for you to monitor ad performance.
For example, if you own a travel blog and want to create an activity banner that links to egg tart purchase, you may create a custom Category (e.g. ‘Langkawi’) and Page (e.g. ‘Street Food’). There are no standard rules for using these two custom dimensions. You may decide what best fits your need.
10. When can I get paid?
You will be paid the month after the month of booking. Commission payments are calculated within your account and payments will be made before 10th of each month.
11. What are the payment methods?
You may also choose your preferred method of payment – Direct Bank Transfer, PayPal, or Alipay. The minimum commission payout required for PayPal and Alipay is US$50 or equivalent. As for International Money (TT) Transfer under Direct Bank Transfer, the minimum commission payout is US$500. You balance will be carried over until you reach the minimum payout. Alternatively, you may choose to settle the payment before the minimum commission payout is reached at US$25 bank transaction fee cost, which will be deducted before payment.
12. Why haven’t I been paid?
There are three possible reasons for this:
- The 10th of the current month has been passed. You will need to wait for the 10th of next month.
- Your Financial Info is incorrect. Please double check that your info is properly filled out and up to date. For any bank transfers that have bounced back due to mistyped financial info, a penalty will be charged to affiliate’s account. The amount will be deducted from the following month’s payment.
